Project: Improving Local Transport in Our Community

We’re intending to improve the efficiency and accessibility of local transport in our area through a range of practical measures. The council is planning to upgrade several key bus routes, focusing particularly on areas with limited access to public services.

We’re about to start a campaign to raise awareness of these changes, which will include community events and school outreach. Additionally, we’re due to receive a grant from the Department of Transport, which will help fund new environmentally friendly buses and better bus stop facilities.

We’ll be distributing leaflets with the intention of informing residents about the new timetables, routes, and safety guidelines. These leaflets will also include a QR code linking to a survey so that locals can share feedback and suggestions.

Our goal is not only to reduce traffic and pollution but also to ensure that everyone—especially the elderly and students—can travel safely and affordably. The improvements will begin next month and are expected to be completed by the end of the year.

By involving the community and making public transport more appealing, we hope to create a more connected and sustainable town.
