The Ark
The world is going to end. Global warming has taken
its toll, for 40 days and 40 nights it will rain, covering the earth with
water, once again. Pairs of animals have already been taken to a South Pacific
island that is high enough to withstand this flood. In order to continue the
human race and based on the size of the island, only 10 people can be taken to
the island. These 10 people have been chosen based on ability to contribute to
the new society. They are patiently waiting at the airport to begin their new
lives. There has however been a terrible mistake. The helicopter that is coming
to pick them up only has room for 5 people. It is too late to change
helicopters, as the rain has already begun. The helicopter pilot (a 23 year old
Japanese man, with the ability to fly the helicopter of course, he is also a
construction worker and can hunt and fish). He needs to make a decision on the
spot as to which 5 people he can take with him to the island. Who should he
choose?

What are five specific things individuals can do to protect the environment?
First of all, everyone could protect the environment doing simple things.
In my case, I am trying to reduce, for example when I go to the supermarket and buy staff without packing, specially fruits and vegetables. Moreover, I always bring with me a clothing bag instead of a plastic bag and I am recycling as much as possible paper, plastic, glass. On the other hand, I try to go walking to many places instead of using my car.
