Pair Role-Play: Recommend a City
You want to plan a holiday. Tell your partner:
-
What type of holiday you want
-
Your interests (food, museums, nightlife, nature, sports, festivals, shopping, etc.)
-
Your budget
-
How long you plan to stay
-
How far you are willing to travel
-
The type of climate you prefer
-
Whether you prefer crowded touristy places or quiet local areas
Ask your partner for at least three city recommendations.
Student B (The Travel Advisor)
Recommend ONE city you know well. For each city, mention:
-
Why it’s a great destination
-
Top things to do
-
The best time of year to visit
-
The atmosphere (lively, historical, romantic, modern, relaxed, etc.)
-
Price level (cheap, average, expensive)
-
Transport options (Is it walkable? Good public transport?)
-
Who would enjoy it (foodies, families, history lovers, party-goers, etc.)
-
One disadvantage or warning (crowds, heat, rain, pickpockets, prices, etc.)
Student A should accept or reject each recommendation politely, explaining why.
