ENGLISH GREEN WORLD
Some specific things that should be done to protect the environment by individuals, not only does the Government have the whole responsibility. The reason for this is that each person has a huge responsibility to preserve nature, and each little action is taken into account to lay an international awareness. For instance, separating different types of material at home, and obviously, put them into the correct bin. Secondly, the less people use their cars, the less pollution will be in the air. Thirdly, reducing the plastic goods is a good way to minimize the use of such a pollutant material. Also, not using the washing machine excessively can reduce the contamination of our local rivers. And the last specific thing everyone should try is to buy recycled goods. It will help to reduce the pollution, and why not, to encourage companies to increase production of recycled goods.
I would like to point out that I cannot understand why people do not recycle or why they are careless when they dispose their garbage. All the facilities to do it have been given since the environmental problems were noticed some years ago. Not a single person around the world should continue be unaware of this situation.
With reference to programs in my city which promote recycling and protecting the environment, everyone can see a lot of recycling bins spread in all the neighborhoods, the local cycle lane has been increasing since cyclists demanded it to the authorities, and last but not least, the promotion of public transport encourage people to leave their cars at home.
